day 1 – Destination Memphis, TN (Apr 13, 2008)

10am EST – left Charlotte, heading south on 85, north on 26 and finally west on 40.
4pm CST – arrived in Nashville, TN for dinner with my best friend from High School.
8:30pm CST – arrived in Memphis, TN where I was hosted by the lovely Mumford family… Michelle, Jeff, Martini (boston terriror), and Jack (a stray mix).

It was a long but lovely day.

The greatest addition to the trip had to be my new eye glasses. They have taken me from Monet-vision to High Def TV vision! As I’m driving through the mountains, trees go from blurry green blobs, to individual leaves… I see every blade of grass in all its splendor.

And the greens!!! Everything is soooo green and in bloom. It made me think of all our talk about cutting back in order to expand into fuller expression. For instance, a pruned bush will produce better fruit the following season. I’m not sure if you were aware of the extensive drought that occurred across the Southern United States in 2007, but I have to wonder if that was just the natural ebb, and this lush blossoming of the earth is the following flow. It makes me remember that a recession in the economy is not a bad or good thing, but a natural progression of all things in the universe and that the flow will return in even greater abundance.

So chin up BLISSfix-ers, remembering your good that is right outside your door. Count your blessings and more will continue to flow!
