I love me some tea-time widsom!!

I love me some tea-time wisdom!!!

The universe is a stage.  Your mind dances with your body, guided by your heart.

Mmmm, mmm, mmmm.  That’s some yummy tea with a side of happy thoughts.  This is why I love Yogi Teas!  If you haven’t tried them yet, they are the fortune cookie of teas!  Most of their ingredients are organic and they are herbal remedies in nature.  I love how good I feel when i nurture whatever need is alive in me at the moment by selecting one of these yummy helpful teas to drink instead of eating a cookie! 😉  They’ve got one for everything!  Kava for relaxation, Ginger for digestion, Peach for Detox, Echinacea for Immune Support, and the list goes on.  Yea! for little bits of self-care!

BLISSfix loves Wordle.net

Check out the new wordle I just made at Wordle.net.  This is a wordle of my intention for how I want to live my life.  You can copy and paste or write any text and have Wordle.net create you a beautiful synopsis of the essence of what was written, removing all the common words and making the remaing words larger or smaller based on the frequency of their use.  You can also enter a website or blog and it will generate a wordle of that.  I entered BLISSfix.com and I was surprised to see how many times I used the word “brown.”  Didn’t know I was such a big fan of brown. 🙂  Wordle.net offers about 20 fonts to choose from, and a variety of options for direction of words, layout, upper or lowercase, color and variation levels.  So go ahead, Wordle something for fun and post a link to your results in the comments!

BLISSfix LOVES the Oregon Country Fair

Oregon County FairAnd we’ll be there in 2010!!! 🙂  Sean and I were so sad to realize we missed this event by 1 week as it is so down our alley!  The book “1,000 Places to See Before You Die” by Patricia Schultz has this to say about it:

“The Oregon Country Fair… gained it’s reputation as a cross between Woodstock, a circus, a love-in, and a New Age pilgrimage site… when 40,000 like-minded artist and freethinkers from around the world gather to celebrate, listen to music and get happy.”

On top of that… this event is completely alcohol and drug free.  The point is to come together for three days in the wilderness of Oregon, enjoy tasty, health food and positive entertainment on one of the 14 stages and to be with people who all have the same goal in mind… having an authentically good time! 🙂

And the price is right, too!  The entrance fees are around $50 for a three day pass.  This is 1/3 of what I’ve paid for weekend festivals in the past and this one seems much cooler!  It’s always the 2nd weekend in July.  July 9, 10, & 11, 2010  – LET’S DO IT! 🙂

BLISSfix loves Butterfly Gardens!

Yesterday Sean and I visited the Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center in Denver, CO.  I had been to a Butterfly Garden once as a child in Atlanta, GA and I found that my delight at the magical world of insects hasn’t decreased in the slightest! 🙂  Sean and I were like joy-filled kids again wandering around the exhibits looking at bugs that looked exactly like twigs and leaves, and holding a golden tarantula, and photographing thousands of butterflies all flitting around us.  One little girl dressed from head to toe in a butterfly dress had attracted a butterfly on the front of the dress that stayed there for more than 30 min.  I highly recommend this activity for children of all ages (years 0-109)!

The reason I acknowledge spending time with insects as a conscious activity is because I found that we were both in a childlike state of wonder and amazement.  We were reveling in the creations of this planet and completely in the moment… watching for the next butterfly that might land on our shoulder.  That natural state of fascination and appreciation is the ultimate in connecting with the source that creates all things.  It’s a beautiful experience of joy and bliss.

Look for a Butterfly Pavilion near you!  Below are some I found by performing a simple google search.

A Quick Pick-me-up

It may just be me, but I love this movie, and I love the music videos in it.  I also am enamored by the Indian dances in this particular video.  I can’t watch it without smiling, moving along and wishing I would go ahead and sign up for a belly dancing class already! 🙂

Enjoy!
